Study on the Characteristics of Coherent Supersonic Jet with Superheated Steam

By establishing a mathematical model to simulate mixed jet of oxygen and superheated steam from coherent supersonic lance, we studied the effect on fluid characteristics jet. The was initially verified through laboratory experiments prior analyzing in detail. These included velocity, temperature, turbulent kinetic energy (TKE), mass distribution. results showed that, at an ambient temperature 1700 K, velocity measured experiment consistent with obtained by numerical simulations, error only 2.7%. In high-temperature environment, increased, TKE around center enhanced, exhibited inhibitory combustion reaction annular methane, potential core length reduced, which conducive methane delayed reduction central velocity.
